Hello, Bluebird Families!
We had 4 great days together this week! On Tuesday, We celebrated F’s birthday! I made her an ocean themed birthday ring. We sang to her, and she blew out the candles. We also made her a birthday book! Each child made a page, and she made the cover. We love to show our friends some special love on their birthdays! We will celebrate another Bluebird birthday this coming Friday!
We expanded our calendar time to include tally marks this week. We build the tally marks with popsicle sticks for the number of each day. The children are really starting to get a feel for it! We will continue to grow our calendar time this coming week by also counting pennies for the number of the day. We started some phonics activities this week, reviewing letter sounds, identifying beginning letter sounds of words, and writing letters. You may see some papers coming home soon, if you haven’t already.
We have read many fun books together this week! Your children really love to listen to stories! I can tell that you read to them at home! Thank you! We had our first special Story and Music Time with Allison on Friday! She brought her guitar, taught us some songs and finger plays, and read a few great books to us! Everyone loved having her with us and can’t wait to see her again! What a special way to celebrate our Fridays!
This week, we will do some art projects and create our class agreement to remind ourselves of our 2 main rules. We are safe. We are kind. By remembering these two priorities throughout our days together, we will have a wonderful year.
