The class enjoyed bringing a favorite book from home to share with the rest of the class, and we discussed different types of books, and the job of the author and the illustrator. We also learned about the different parts of the book including the front cover, spine, and back cover.
For math, the class worked on place value and enjoyed using some math manipulatives (ten sticks and ones cubes) to figure out place value.
For language arts, they worked on recognizing and spelling some common nouns including dog, cat, mother, father, and house. They had a fun hopping game that they used to help them with this!
