I hope all of our young friends have enjoyed learning about owls. Get them to tell you about what owls eat, how they hunt, and how they digest their food. We have read many owl stories, talked about nests, and acted out several owl behaviors. They area very proud of our fingerpainted
owl on the door.

Next week we are doing a short one week unit inspired by Harold and the Purple Crayon, and our letter of the Week will be “P”. I am taking a personal day on Monday, and Kaylyn will be leading our day. We do have a substitute for the day. Her name is Jami, and many of the Dancing Owls have met her when she subbed in Terry’s class. They will be in good hands.
We are continuing to work on classroom routines and expectations. Some of these are pretty BIG IDEAS for three year olds, but we are moving forward. I am letting them know that they are welcome to play alone, but if two children are playing together and another child wants to join them that they have to find a way to include the third. Kaylyn and I are right there to offer roles and strategies.
Happy Weekending,
Sally
