Hello Friendly Foxes!
Over the last week we have been learning all about Jan Brett’s wonderful books and illustrations. Each day we have read one of her lovely stories and enjoyed lots of fun activities to go along with each. We have also been enjoying our Winter-themed activities and are still really loving spelunking in our cave. As always we loved
Story time with Bob and Music class with Marci. We had a wonderful time catching beautiful snowflakes on the playground!
We read “Hedgie Blasts Off,” “The Hat,” “Three Snow Bears,” and “Mossy.” We played a Jan Brett book character memory game, played in lots of interesting sensory materials that corresponded with the books, and made some really fun crafts for each story. We even planted our own seeds in tiny turtle gardens to go along with “Mossy.” Since we missed a day last week, we will read a few more of her books this week and then write a letter to her and hope to receive a letter in return!
This week we will learn all about the Arctic region, including the animals and plants that live there. We have lots of fun activities planned! The following week we will study the Antarctic region.
