Hello, Friendly Foxes!
It has been a lovely, busy fun-filled week at school. We have been thoroughly enjoying our oceanography unit. We have learned so much about the oceans, the different zones, and the creatures who live there.
This week we dove deeper into the ocean zones. We discovered many fascinating facts about sea turtles, sharks, oysters and anglerfish. We made lots of fun crafts, including glow-in-the-dark sharks and attaching our own pearls to oysters. We made our own toy boats to float in our oceans, read some wonderful ocean books, played with lots of ocean materials, and learned a sweet little rhyme to help us remember the five oceans of the world.
We were treated to an amazing outdoor volcano demonstration by a wonderful parent, Professor Candace! We had a wonderful music class with Marci, a great Story session with Bob, and thoroughly enjoyed our outdoor playtime in the sunshine. We said our well-wishes to Ms. Lori as she starts her next adventure, as we will be welcoming Hannah back to the classroom this Thursday! We will miss Lori but are thrilled for Hannah’s return.
This coming week we will finish up our oceanography unit and look forward to seeing what April holds for us!
Thank you for all you do!
Wynne, Sadée, Lori, and Hannah
