We have been having a great time together learning all about rainbows in our class! The children mostly know the order of the colors of a rainbow and have completed several fun art projects about them. Check out our handprint rainbow in the hall and our watercolor and oil pastel paintings of rainbows too! On Friday we made process art collages on rainbow shaped paper. It is fun to see how children approach the same materials in many different ways. We started a science experiment to observe how flowers soak up colored water, and the children have been enjoying watching the white petals change colors all week. We have been learning a special rainbow song with sign language with Wynne, and you might get to see us sing it at the school play! We have also had lots of fun exploring our wet and muddy playground. The children have been loving to search for worms in the sandbox! This week we will continue talking about colors, color wheels, and weather. The children have been interested in rain and mud and storms! We will also try a few more science experiments together this week.
We had a great time with Ms. Marci and Storytime Bob as always! There is a super cute video of the kids dancing to Marci’s flower song on our class instagram account (childrensgardenschool).
It has been so much fun to be back in the classroom! Thanks again for sharing your amazing children with us!
