We had a fun week learning more about fairy tales and nursery rhymes. We read Humpty Dumpty and built a wall to balance him on. We made a picture of Humpty and put him together with real bandaids! We read Hey Diddle Diddle and decorated our own dish that ran away with the spoon. We tried out some letter and number games, sensory bins, and play dough.
We also have chosen our class play for this year. We will be doing Elmer the elephant! Each child will be one of Elmer’s elephant friends and an animal character in the play. Elmer will be a child made prop. We have talked about what it is like to be in a play, toured the “stage”, and have been working on creating out costumes. We will begin rehearsals soon, and the children are all very excited about it! We look forward to seeing you all there!
