Dear Friendly Fox Families,
We had a fun week of learning about pumpkins and fall leaves! We started our week with pumpkin pie scented play dough and drawing pastel pumpkin patches. We decided to carve our class pumpkin into a fox since we are the Friendly Foxes. The children really enjoyed helping to scoop out the insides of the pumpkin and collect the seeds with tweezers and fingers. We built gates for our 5 Little Pumpkins poem and explored many stories and songs about the fall season.

On Friday we had our Fall Festival, and it was so much fun! The children played in various fall themed sensory bins, took part in a scavenger hunt, and played pumpkin bowling in the hallway! We ended our festival with eating some delicious fall treats. The class favorite was the pumpkin bread that Sally made!

I have enjoyed talking with many of you at our parent teacher conferences, and look forward to talking with more of you this week. If we needed to reschedule your child’s conference, please contact me so we can set up a better time.
This week we will be diving into our art unit in preparation for our art show! This is one of my favorite parts of the year, and we have an art loving group of kids this year too! We will study some famous artists, create original art, and make some collaborative artwork, as well. We will be inviting families in to see the show. More details will be provided as it gets closer.
Thanks for a great week and we will see you tomorrow!
Hannah, Wynne, and Sadee 🙂
