The Children's Garden

Wisdom begins with wonder

Kindergarten Week 2

Learning about the bones in our body.. they really liked this puzzle!

Greetings! It’s been another fun and busy week here in the Kindergarten class. We continued talking about the artist Georgia O’ Keefe and learned how she added shading and filled the canvas with the flowers she painted. The kids really worked hard and did well on their floral paintings!

This week we also learned about different kinds of rocks and went on a rock hunt in the woods by the school. This outing led to some fun discussion and play related to rocks and being inside caves.

The children also honed their culinary skills by baking zucchini bread! They were proud of their work and really enjoyed the fruits of their labor.

Finally, the class had fun practicing numbers 1-100, learning some sight-words, and being introduced to “Mr. Aligator” for greater than/ less than.
