Hello!
This week the Superstars approached a very interesting and important topic — Kindness. We read some stories about random acts of kindness, talked about the importance of kindness, and some concrete ways to be kind to others.
As part of Kindness week (which we will also be covering next week) the class is going to create a “Kindness Journal” where they get to document with their families any act of kindness, now matter how small or whom it is from. They are excited to have their Kindness Goggles on as they look at the world around them this week!
The class also had great fun learning about fractions! There were several games that were tied to this lesson that the students really enjoyed.
For language arts we have been working at our leveled reading “Bob books” as well as digraphs (mostly Ch and Sh).
Finally, the class is very excited as we begin documenting the growth of the seeds they planted during plant week! We will take pictures every day to document their progress. Stay tuned for Kindness Week part 2!
