Hello, Bluebird Families!
We had a fun week finishing up our projects for the art show. We learned about Lois Ehlert and made our own collages. We read Vincent’s Colors and studied Van Gogh’s paintings. We used tempera paint sticks for some free art and had lots of fun dipping yarn in paint and pressing it into folded paper to make exciting symmetrical designs. We also used many different texture paintings that we made in the last 2 months to create a mural of thankfulness. I was impressed with the items the children chose to mention being thankful for: our homes and families, our brains, happy birthdays, growing, and our beds. I agree with their whole list! Thank you all so much for coming to the art show and admiring your child’s hard work and creativity! They have really enjoyed our focus on art and we will continue to do art throughout the year! On Friday, we read the entire Magic Tree House book, Thanksgiving on Thursday by Mary Pope Osborne. We have definitely strengthened our listening skills since August! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your freinds and family! I look forward to seeing you all in December!
Thank you for sharing your children with me!
Anna
