Hello Bluebird Families!
On Monday, we had planned to go to Wonder Universe for the day, but somewhere in the planning, I forgot that they were closed on Monday. We did not discover this until we arrived. It was disappointing, but the children were fleible and handled the situation very well. We walked over to Lilly’s Playground and had a great time playing together. Then we had a picnic lunch before returning to school. We will go back soon, not on a Monday, as the kids keep reminding me! On Tuesday, we created our own paper mugs of hot chocolate and listened to the Hot Chocolate song many times, while dancing and singing along! On Wednesday, we read The Snowy Day, The First Day of Winter, and The Biggest Snowman Ever. We also built a marble run together and pretended the marbles were snowballs! On Thursday, we read The Big Snow, Fox’s Dream, and The Gingerbread Man. Then we created our own gingerbread man collages. I loved seeing the children’s creativity, which included curling mustaches, monocles, and gingerbread babies! On Friday, we read Katy and the Big Snow and then played in rice sensory bins with bulldozers, making our own paths in the snow! Have a wonderful winter break! I look forward to seeing you all again on January 6th!
Thanks for sharing your children with me!
