Hello, Bluebird Families!
We were so excited to see one another this week, after missing our school friends during our 2 week winter break. On Monday, we celebrated the new year, by creating a 2020 collage and reading some winter books. On Tuesday, we enjoyed a snow day at home to play in some great snowman making snow! On Wednesday, we read The Bravest Dog Ever: The True Story of Balto and built our own dog sleds out of popsicle sticks. On Thursday, we played with our dog sleds and some toy dogs to reenact dog sled races and the thrilling, historical dog sled relay race in the midst of a blizzard to get medicine to the town of Nome, Alaska to help sick people. We also played with “snow” sensory bins and practiced writing our first and last names on lined paper. On Friday, we went on a field trip to Wonder Universe and had an amazing time playing, exploring, creating, and discovering all day! Check out the Children’s Garden Instagram to see lots of pictures and videos of your kids having so much fun!
Thanks for sharing your children with me!
