Hello, Bluebird Families!
We had a great field trip to Pandapas Pond on Tuesday! Thank you for sending warm clothes to keep us comfortable outside for hours! We enjoyed walking around the pond and spotting daddy long legs, lily pads, ladybugs, dragonflies, moss, and rotting logs. We speculated that the many holes in the log were probably created by a woodpecker. We had a blast throwing pebbles into the water and climbing on a tree with a sturdy, low branch. We also had a fun picnic lunch.
We are deep in our study of art right now, reading books about artists and creating our own art for the upcoming art show every day. We can’t wait for you to see all of our creativity!
We have also started studying some geography, specifically identifying continents and oceans. We are practicing addition up to 12 using objects in the classroom and building math sentences with number tiles. During calendar time, we are confidently using dimes and pennies to create the date for each day and gaining understanding of place value. We also tried our first number dot-to-dot page and a hidden picture page, which were both greatly enjoyed!
Thank you for sharing your children with me!
