It’s hard to write a blog post this week. We had a holiday, a snow day, and a string of fevers. Though we started our dinosaur unit today we are still wrapping up our study of outer space. The Honey Bees enjoyed some NASA video of rockets blasting off, especially one of Suni Williams taking off in a Soyuz rocket and heading for the International Space Station.
We’ll finish up our space mobile tomorrow. Today we stitched up the sun that we painted last week, and we are going to make an aluminum foil asteroid belt.
We are making two cardboard dinosaur sculptures if you have any great boxes around the house. We’ll make a carnivore and an herbivore and try to transform our room in something prehistoric. If you have any wonderful dinosaur stories and books at home please feel free to share. Today we did some drawing/writing about dinosaurs at circle time and brainstormed some of the things we want to learn about.
