Wisdom begins with wonder

The Meow Cats :: Week Four

Dear Families,

We are still out here camping even though the tent and the camper bus have gone home. Much of last week we were out on a bear hunt. We made binoculars for our hunt, learned to sing the story, and made some Going on a Bear Hunt artwork. We mapped and sequenced the story in six parts, creating a one page map that lets us retell the story.  We talked about nocturnal animals, made glass snakes on the lightboard, shaped hedgehogs out of dough, and read stories about night animals. Our song this week was “Nocturnal” by Billy Jonas. https://youtu.be/HRVtSOBxTEo
As the week starts some of us want to talk about spiders, and tomorrow we will make some spider hats and start to spin some webs. We are also going to peel and chop apples tomorrow and make some quick applesauce for our snack. Please let me know if this is not an appropriate snack for your child. Please send their regular snack as well. We’ll do this again on Friday for friends who are not with us tomorrow.
